What is The Wild Diet? Can you really lose fat while enjoying sirloin steak, chicken parmesan, chocolate, and real butter? If you ask Kurt, the 4. ABC Television by going Wild, the answer is a resounding “HECK YA!”The Wild Diet features foodie- friendly indulgent meals that will help you program your body to burn fat instead of sugar. Thousands of people across the world have reclaimed their health and lost 2. The Wild Diet. This is what I look like before and after The Wild Diet: Ready to get results with real food? Since The Wild Diet is #1 in America, I dropped the price of our online program in HALF so you can get results today. But every nutritionist, bodybuilder, and athlete worth his or her salt knows that “six packs are made in the kitchen.” Exercise is great for overall well- being, but if you want to drop fat, the vast majority of your results will come from eating the right foods. TIP #2: YOU CAN EAT BACON, BUTTER & STEAK WHILE DROPPING FATIf you’ve given up some of your favorite foods—like gooey cheese, chocolate, grilled steak, bacon, butter, full- fat cream, eggs, wine, cheesecake, ice cream, or anything else delicious—for the sake of “health,” you’re about to have a really good time eating Wild. Even the American Government has conceded that we shouldn’t be afraid of eating high- quality fats! TIP #3: FOCUS ON FOOD QUALITY, NOT QUANTITYThe Wild Diet follows this principle: Eat fresh, simple, whole foods from healthy plants and animals and be skeptical of processed food products. By prioritizing foods found in the natural world, rich in fiber and nutrients, your body will burn fat instead of sugar for energy. When you reduce your consumption of processed grains, sugars and other simple carbohydrates in favor of healthy plants and animals, you will be shocked by how quickly you can reverse the damage of decades of poor eating. TIP #4: DUMP THE “CARBAGE”When you follow The Wild Diet, you’re avoiding “carbage” – processed carbs from sugars and grains. Refined foods are packed with fattening ingredients such as white flour, white sugar, high fructose corn syrup and industrial seed oils from corn and soy. These fake foods distort your appetite and cause you to consume more calories than you require. The Wild Diet fills you up with natural fats, fibers, proteins, and slow- burning carbs. TIP #5: YOU DON’T HAVE TO STARVE YOURSELF OR COUNT CALORIES TO LOSE WEIGHTA plate of real food — like fresh veggies, fruits, nuts, and perhaps a bit of pasture- raised meat — contains the protein, fiber, healthy fat and micronutrients your body needs to satiate your appetite. So next time you feel hunger pangs, stop depriving yourself and fill up on real food, instead. TIP #6: LISTEN TO YOUR BODY & EAT WHEN YOU’RE HUNGRYWhen you are hungry, your body doesn’t necessarily want food, it wants nutrition. If you feed it foods that are nutrient- poor, your brain and body will never really feel totally satisfied. The key is to feed yourself real and fresh whole foods that are high in nutrients and satiate your hunger. On The Wild Diet, you simply eat when you’re hungry. And if you’re not hungry in the morning, you may want to experiment with “Fasting and Feasting.”TIP #7: ENJOY YOUR FEASTS WITH FRIENDS & FAMILYWe’re not meant to starve ourselves or count calories. We’re wired to eat and live luxuriously without getting fat. That’s what we’ve been doing effortlessly for generations, in fact, before we started following the wrong advice. So when eating out, make it a special event, take your time, and enjoy your feast. Order several dishes family style for everyone to try and share – this is more filling than eating a single entree by yourself. TIP #8: BE PREPARED FOR CHOCOLATE EMERGENCIESCarry yummy snacks, meals, and dark chocolate everywhere you go to beat hunger and cravings. You know, for chocolate emergencies! Why The Wild Diet Is #1 In America. Here’s an update from the finale of My Diet is Better Than Yours on ABC! My contestant, Kurt started at 3. He finished at 2. So Kurt lost an astounding 2. The Wild Diet, while eating delicious food and using proven fat loss techniques, like intermittent fasting. I couldn’t be more proud of both of them! Like The Biggest Loser, this a weight loss competition, measured by percentage of body weight loss. But as I’ve mentioned before, when we’re talking about health, you want to focus on how much body fat you lose, not weight. Many people who try to lose weight wind up losing muscle by overexercising and undereating. So always keep this in mind – lean muscle is the most important tool you have to boost your metabolism and burn more fat. Kurt wasn’t able to run regularly because of past surgeries and injuries to his spine and knees. He did quick, functional workouts at home – like kettlebell swings and lifting water jugs – to maintain his lean muscle mass. Lose Fat 12 Laws of Fat-Burning Want to see your six-pack again - or for the first time ever? You'll find all you need to know to get superlean in a dozen simple rules. And we used The Wild Diet’s high fat, low carb approach to lose as much fat as possible. Following The Wild Diet, Kurt shed 8.
Kurt lost nearly double the amount of body fat as any other contestant on the show. This is a HUGE win for the Wild, high fat / low carb, and Paleo communities!(Want Kurt’s Wild Meal Plans? Get them with the Wild Diet Fat Loss System.)Even more important, Kurt is off all of his prescription medication and feels 2. His blood sugar and blood pressure are in the healthy range, and he’s no longer obese for the first time in over 1. Not to mention, Kurt was able to get these results with limited exercise, just walks outside and a bit of strength training. I share all of this with you to hammer this message home: If you want to lose fat, focus on your diet. If Kurt, Jasmin, Latasha, and Jeff can do it, so can you. Another huge takeaway is that Kurt is still able to enjoy eating pasture- raised bacon, grass- fed burgers, and even our famous cheesecake to drop fat while eating outrageously good food. This ain’t no ordinary diet. You really can be happy and healthy at the same time. Can you lose 2. 0 pounds in 4. FOR A LIMITED TIME: Get The Wild Diet 3. Is ther an anti inflammatory diet? Diabetes and cancer are rampant, health care costs are increasingly crippling our economy, and 8- year- old children are weighing in at 3. Clearly, something isn’t working. We don’t need to go back millennia to witness a startling decline in health and increase in obesity. We really can just look back a generation or two. Our grandmothers knew that processed foods, namely carbohydrates like grains, starch, and sugar, make us fat. And when our grandmothers bought food, it was usually local, organic, and free of most chemicals. Alas, those days have passed. As Alfred Newman quipped in Mad Magazine. You may have seen it featured on People, NPR, or getting Kurt Morgan to drop 5. ABC’s hit show My Diet Is Better Than Yours. By focusing on simple, fresh, ingredients and satisfying fats like butter and avocado, The Wild Diet helps your body shift out of fat- storing mode to burn fat as its main fuel source (hence the pun, “Fat- Burning Man”). By upgrading the quality of their diet, thousands of people across the world have dropped 2. The secret to great health simply getting back to our wild roots and enjoying real, natural foods grown on a farm and not in a factory. Many other trainers and experts tell you that you need to eat diet food that tastes like cardboard if you want to lose weight. I’m going to tell you the exact opposite. The Wild Diet proves that it’s possible to get in best shape of your life while eating delicious foods like chicken parmesan, bacon cheeseburgers, and even chocolate pudding. If you want to know how to burn more fat by indulging in incredible meals and exercising less, it’s time to treat yourself to The Wild Diet. Why Does The Wild Diet Lead to Fat Loss and Better Health? Simply, The Wild Diet suggests that we take a deep breath and start eating real food again. It urges you to eat the highest quality food you can find and afford. Truth be told – my approach has always been more flexible than Paleo, certainly the idea of “popular Paleo” that seems to ignore the subject of food quality entirely. And “popular Paleo” today often puts meats at the front and center of every meal. The Wild Diet, however, shows you how to improve your health, drop fat, and boost energy by making plant- based foods more than half your plate. We once had access to an immense variety of seasonal foods from small, local sources. Now we have access to very few varieties of very few foods from a massive industrial system often thousands of miles from where we live. It’s important to note the few staples of the Standard American Diet – namely corn, wheat, and soy – are not produced in such massive quantities because they’re healthy. They’re produced because they make money for Big Food. Modern food manufacturers have overwhelmed grocery store shelves with foods that are nutrient poor, rotten, spoiled, dead, old, and contaminated with antibiotics, chemicals, and growth hormones. Essentially, we went from eating nothing but Wild foods to subsisting on the equivalent of human dog kibble. You never see a fat wolf in the wild eating it’s natural diet. As humans, it’s time to get back to our roots. GMO’s are creepy, artificial flavors are horrifying, and selective breeding has unleashed some freakish foodstuffs upon the general public. If selective breeding can do this to a wolf, imagine what they can do to a tomato. Monoculture is destroying the land, generating obscene wealth for a select few, and producing “foods” that make us fat and sick. We need to return to a system that works with the land, with nature, and with our own physiology and spirit. Sure, it takes work to make (or find) fresh, wild, natural food these days. But the benefits for the health of our bodies and the land we inhabit are undeniable. Here’s a small example of what you eat when you don’t pay attention?

I sprayed with Tilex and the larvae were not phased a bit. Then I thought of two things: 1) the larvae must be feeding on mildew/mold (so needed to kill that first); 2) I recalled my neighbor suggesting a small bowl of vinegar mixed with dish washing soap as a way to kill live fruit flies around my fruit in my kitchen. I was not sure if #2 would kill the worms, but I was willing to try anything, and it seems to have worked. Step 1: I always have one of those HUGE containers of white vinegar in my house to remove rug stains. I knew that vinegar can kill molds, so I grabbed the bottle and SLOWLY poured it over the entire length of my shower frame (which is where I found the larvae were living). Every time I would pour, the larvae would slide out. I rinsed them all down the drain. But I was not confident I had exterminated all of them. Then I remembered the dish soap suggestion and .. Step 2: I used Lemon Joy dish soap to pour over the same area. I know is sounds silly, but I was desperate. A few more of those guys slid out. But I DID notice they were curled up and not moving much in the dish soap. I was not sure if they were dead, but I knew the thick soap would not allow them to escape. I let the dish soap sit for a while, then rinsed. Before I went to bed, I poured more dish soap again over that same area. Because I was so paranoid, I woke up in the middle of the night to check and there were several that had come out, but were obviously dead. They looked dry and stiff. This morning, I checked the same amount that were there last night remained. The soap dried and all the larvae dried with it. No one in my family is allowed to turn on that shower for at least a week until I am sure the tile and drain is dry. I am also purchasing several more containers of white vinegar and extra dish washing soap just in case they return. Please let us know if you try this and it works. Cholesterol and Saturated Fat Are Not the Enemy. Trust Chris, he uses real, authentic science behind his works. First: your weight gain. If you want to gain muscle you want a diet rich in eggs and meats, even dairy if you are tolerant. Carbs make you gain fat. They are a cheap source of energy, and that’s pretty much it. Your body is perfectly capable of converting fat and protein into sugar, and carbohydrates are not essential to the diet, studies show this. Forget about calories and forget the word exists, it’s a bogus term coined from an experiment in which someone used an oven to burn food to heat water. Unless you happen to be a Bunsen burner, this specific method does not qualify to tell you anything except how much heat you can produce lighting things on fire. Eat as much meat and eggs and dairy as you can without overstuffing yourself, which shouldn’t be a problem because these things sate your appetite and are readily used to build bulk without serious side effects. Also, moving slow produces more strength, so do those mostly. The muscle size will come after but is irrelevant in the long run because even tiny people can be very strong. Strong muscles means strong bones. Stuffing yourself will cause lethargy, so avoid that. It is a great idea to drink a tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar diluted in a glass of water before the meal because it pumps your body up for intense protein and fat digestion (by the way, you NEED fat to digest protein, and you NEED cholesterol to digest fat to digest protein; see how that works?) Eating foods rich in probiotics, such as live culture yogurt, cheese, and fermented vegetables, enhances your digestion and improves absorption of nutrients. You also want to reach for the nutrient- dense foods like pasture- raised organ meats (heart, liver, kidneys, brains, spleen, pancreas – yes they are all edible and filled with nutrients to build a great physique), free- range eggs (but poor source of B1. Avoid grains and legumes because they prevent nutrient absorption and cause autoimmune diseases, brain deterioration, fatty liver, joint diseases (arthritis, degeneration), pancreatic stress and disease, kidney disease, et cetera, ad nosium. Leafy greens and non- starchy veggies are a great boost as they slow digestion and allow your body to absorb more nutrients. Certain vegetables like beets and deep greens also cleanse your cardiovascular and urinary tract systems. Minimize fruit to mostly antioxidant- rich ones and not too much. Too much fruit in the diet has negative consequences. Nuts are a great source of good fats and other nutrients, but as they are seeds, do not eat too many because they also harm your absorption of other nutrients like iron, zinc, and magnesium – all of which you should be getting from red meats because those are the bioavailable forms. The sites claiming danger of saturated fats and cholesterol are fueled by vegetarian propaganda which has no scientific evidence to support it, but there is plenty of science to prove that their entire platform is hazardous to health. Egyptians were vegetarians, and they suffered all . Weston Andrew Price went to Africa and studied many tribes. Those who consumed a meat- based diet had perfect health, perfect teeth, perfect vision, while those on a grain- based or vegetarian diet had vision problems, tooth decay, osteoporosis, jaw deformities, atherosclerosis, obesity, and other diseases the meat- eaters did not have. Many who manage and sway their agendas with Google search will try to keep their sites up top to fool people into thinking people like Chris are full of it, but like I said, Chris has real scientific clinical trial studies which prove his words as fact and not just mere opinion. This science can be found on Pub. Med, which is hosted by the governmental authority the National Institutes of Health. This same authority which has demonized fat, cholesterol, and meat, also has all the proof that those claims are wrong. Whether it is because of ignorance or whether it is because they are hoping people can’t find the scientific articles with all the false and disproven hypotheses floating around, it is uncertain, but it is certain that they need a major talking to about reformation of their health sites using up- to- date scientific information and not the fluff that Ancel Keys made up for a paycheck. People with low cholesterol showed major signs of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s progression, as well as lowered brain activity. The brain is 2. 5% of your body’s total cholesterol volume. Saturated fat raises HDL lipoproteins (they are not cholesterol even if people call them that, they are a protein that carries cholesterol, cholesterol has NO TYPES, it is carried around by different types of LIPOPROTEINS; trying to explain it in a way that is understandable). HDL is considered “good”, but it’s a flawed misconception. HDL carries cholesterol away from sites in the body, while LDL carries it to those sites. This is equivalent to saying the ambulance driving to the site of a crash is a “bad ambulance” and the ambulance carrying the paramedics and patient back to the hospital is a “good ambulance”. It’s the same dang ambulance doing two different functions. Further, there are several sub- types of LDL, two being LDL and VLDL, which are both essential in maintaining the body’s health. The problem arises with chronic inflammation from oxidation, which raises VLDL to intolerable levels, and too much of a good thing is bad, so it’s STILL not “bad cholesterol”, there’s just too much of it because it’s essential in the repair of the damage causing the inflammation. Inflammation is a response from the body telling the repair system that it needs help, and cholesterol is the repair guy. Saturated fat puffs VLDL up in to LDL, which is large and puffy and can’t be forced into the arterial walls through oxidation. The fact that cholesterol is at the site of the arterial plaque means absolutely nothing; it would be the same as blaming the band- aid for the scratches being under it or blaming the ambulance for the accident. Saturated fats also lower triglycerides, which is what you should really be looking out for, not cholesterol. High triglycerides does not mean avoid those, either, it means something is damaging your body and raising them, which . Scientists found that when fed diets of either saturated fats or unsaturated, the unsaturated group had very flimsy, easily penetrated cells – which means the test subjects could easily get sick even from harmless . Saturated fats make strong, resilient cells because the hydrogen bonds are saturated, or full, and thus it is solid but flexible enough to not cause problems. Polyunsaturates cause DNA and cell damage, leading to a possibility of cancer and other diseases. You will not find any of these fats isolated in nature. Poly- and monounsaturated fatty acids need saturated in order to be stable, and some solid fats actually contain more unsaturated fats than saturated in comparison to some plant oils, believe it or not. A lymphocytic colitis diet can be determined for you by following a step- by- step plan that begins with the elimination of certain foods that all lymphocytic colitis sufferers should avoid. Success is achieved by fine tuning your diet with a food allergy test that identifies specific foods that are important for you to not eat. Dahlman’s phone consultation treatment plan, he will personally design your diet to maximize your chances of treating this condition successfully. A lymphocytic colitis diet can be different for any individual based on their specific circumstances and health history. This condition is a subtype of microscopic colitis, is somewhat rare condition and characterized by chronic diarrhea. The colonoscopy is normal but the mucosal biopsy reveals an accumulation of lymphocytes (white blood cells) in the colonic tissue. Because of your different genes and biochemical individuality, one diet doesn’t work for everyone. But we can design a diet for you by eliminating some foods similarly to all other lymphocytic colitis patients and also by not eating foods that are specific for you based on food allergy lab testing. What not to eat is where we start with all patients. No dairy products and no gluten containing foods begin the plan as both are pro- inflammatory foods. Please eliminate all dairy products with the exception of butter. Please read all ingredient lists on all labels on products in your house looking for the words milk, cheese, lactose, whey and casein. It may surprise you where you will find hidden dairy and being a “dairy detective” can assure you of no mistakes with your diet. A lymphocytic colitis diet will also include the elimination of gluten containing foods. Remove all wheat, oats, barley and rye from your diet.
A more detailed discussion about how to eliminate both dairy and gluten can be found in Dr. Dahlman’s free Crohn’s/Colitis report available at the bottom of this page. Food Allergy Testing for Lymphocytic Colitis. Because of your uniqueness and that fact you have had a different life than others, it is important to fine tune your diet and create a specific diet for lymphocytic colitis through a food allergy test that will reveal the foods that are contributing to the inflammation of colitis and causing your symptoms. Learning this information solves why you cannot figure out what to eat or not eat on your own. Dahlman’s belief that no lymphocytic colitis patient can get well without learning their food allergies. By avoiding dairy, gluten and the foods found positive on your food allergy test, this means all other foods are considered safe to eat. Dahlman recommends, the elimination of fructose may be necessary. Not by all, but many doctors are finding increased numbers of patients with lymphocytic colitis who are having trouble with fructose containing foods. Fructose is found in all fruit, peas, tomatoes, onions, eggplant, sweet potatoes, corn, beets, carrots, turnips and winter squash. Additionally, all type of sugar must also be avoided (table sugar, sucrose, honey, maple syrup, molasses, agave, cane sugar). Once again, more detail can be found in Dr. Dahlman’s free Crohn’s/Colitis report available for download at the bottom of this article. A planned step- by- step process of elimination of the above foods while using all- natural supplements to re- establish beneficial bacterial balances and restore proper chemistry while also using natural anti- inflammatory herbs make up the main parts of Dr. Dahlman’s diet for lymphocytic colitis treatment. The high concentration of the body's pigmenting agent, melanin, is responsible for their dark color. Moles are a member of the family of skin lesions known as nevi. Classification. Other sources reserve the term . Melanocytic nevi represent a family of lesions. The most common variants are: Location. Dysplastic nevus (nevus of Clark): usually a compound nevus with cellular and architectural dysplasia. Like typical moles, dysplastic nevi can be flat or raised. While they vary in size, dysplastic nevi are typically larger than normal moles and tend to have irregular borders and irregular coloration. Hence, they resemble melanoma, appear worrisome, and are often removed to clarify the diagnosis. Dysplastic nevi are markers of risk when they are numerous (atypical mole syndrome). According to the National Cancer Institute (NIH), doctors believe that, when part of a series or syndrome of multiple moles, dysplastic nevi are more likely than ordinary moles to develop into the most virulent type of skin cancer called melanoma. The nevus cells are spindle shaped and scattered in deep layers of the dermis. The covering epidermis is normal. They are raised and reddish (non- pigmented). A pigmented variant, called the 'nevus of Reed', typically appears on the leg of young women. This includes junctional, compound and intradermal nevus. Small ones have low potential for forming melanomas, however the risk increases with size, as in the giant pigmented nevus. They are important because melanoma may occasionally (1. In the mouth, they are found most frequently on the hard palate. It is named for its association with East Asian ethnic groups but is not limited to them. It creates a dilemma for the patient and physician, as these scars cannot be distinguished from a melanoma. Benign moles are usually brown, tan, pink or black (especially on dark- colored skin). They are circular or oval and are usually small (commonly between 1–3 mm), though some can be larger than the size of a typical pencil eraser (> 5 mm). Some moles produce dark, coarse hair. Common mole hair removal procedures include plucking, cosmetic waxing, electrolysis, threading and cauterization. Moles tend to appear during early childhood and during the first 3. They may change slowly, becoming raised, changing color or gradually fading. This is in the first twelve weeks of pregnancy. The defect is thought to cause a proliferation of melanocytes. This means melanocytes, the cells in the body in charge of normal skin color, are being produced at an extremely fast rate. Thus causing the melanocytes to form in clusters instead of spread out, causing abnormal skin pigmentation in some areas of the body. Genetics. This often leads to a higher risk of melanoma, a serious skin cancer. Dysplastic nevi are common, and many people have a few of these abnormal moles. Having more than 5. Somewhat surprisingly, this also applies to those with dysplastic nevi. They are at a higher risk of melanoma occurring not only where there is an existing mole, but also where there are none. Some scientists hypothesize that overexposure to UV, including excessive sunlight, may play a role in the formation of acquired moles. Some strong indications that this is so (but falling short of proof), are: The relative lack of moles on the buttocks of people with dysplastic nevi. Freckles (spots of melanin on the skin, and distinct from moles) are known to be influenced by sunlight. Studies have found that sunburns and too much time in the sun can increase the risk factors for melanoma. This is in addition to those who have dysplastic nevi being at higher risk of this cancer (the uncertainty is in regard to acquiring benign moles). To prevent and reduce the risk of melanoma caused by UV radiation, the American Academy of Dermatology and the National Cancer Institute recommends staying out of the sun between 1. The National Cancer Institute also recommends wearing long sleeves and trousers, hats with a wide brim, sunscreens, and sunglasses that have UV- deflecting lenses. An online- screening test is also available to help screen out benign moles. Differentiation from melanoma. For instance, a small blue or bluish- black spot, often called a blue nevus, is usually benign but often mistaken for melanoma. The letters stand for asymmetry, border, color, and diameter. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, if a mole starts changing in size, color, shape or, especially, if the border of a mole develops ragged edges or becomes larger than a pencileraser, it would be an appropriate time to consult with a physician. Other warning signs include a mole, even if smaller than a pencil eraser, that is different from the others and begins to crust over, bleed, itch, or become inflamed. The changes may indicate developing melanomas. The matter can become clinically complicated because mole removal depends on which types of cancer, if any, come into suspicion. A recent and novel method of melanoma detection is the . Simply, correlation of common characteristics of a person's skin lesion is made. Lesions which greatly deviate from the common characteristics are labeled as an . A dermatoscope must be used to detect . The borders of these amelanotic melanomas are often indistinct, making visual identification without a dermatoscope very difficult. People with a personal or family history of skin cancer or of dysplastic nevus syndrome (multiple atypical moles) should see a dermatologist at least once a year to be sure they are not developing melanoma. National Cancer Institute estimated that 6. United States in the year 2. Therefore, it appears that malignant melanoma quite seldomly (1% of cases) has a melanocytic nevi as a precursor. If the lesion is a seborrheic keratosis, then shave excision, electrodesiccation or cryosurgery may be performed, usually leaving very little if any scarring. This is unless an excisional biopsy is warranted. One can do a complete excisional skin biopsy or a punch skin biopsy. Other reasons for removal may be cosmetic, or because a raised mole interferes with daily life (e. Removal can be by excisional biopsy or by shaving. A shaved site leaves a red mark on the site which returns to the patient’s usual skin color in about two weeks. However, there might still be a risk of spread of the melanoma, so the methods of Melanoma diagnosis, including excisional biopsy, are still recommended even in these instances. While laser treatment is commonly offered and may require several appointments. Moles tend to go deeper into the skin than non- invasive lasers can penetrate. After a laser treatment a scab is formed, which falls off about seven days later, in contrast to surgery, where the wound has to be sutured. Electrocautery is a procedure that uses a light electrical current to burn moles, skin tags, and warts off the skin. Approximately 1- 3 treatments may be needed to completely remove a mole. Typically, a local anesthetic is applied to the treated skin area before beginning the mole removal procedure. If the surgeon opts for the shaving method, he or she usually also cauterizes the stump. However, freezing should not be done to a nevus suspected to be a melanoma, as the ice crystals can cause pathological changes called . First, mole removal may be followed by some discomfort that can be relieved with pain medication. Second, there is a risk that a scab will form or that redness will occur. However, such scabs and redness usually heal within one or two weeks. Lastly, the mole removal may imply an uncomfortable scar depending on the mole size. Examples include Marilyn Monroe, model Cindy Crawford, singer Madonna, and the fictional Ms. Madonna's facial mole—below her right nostril—has been surgically removed. Some folklore about moles includes the notion that picking at a mole can cause it to become cancerous or grow back larger. Throughout most of history, facial moles were not considered objects of beauty on lovely faces. Rather most moles were considered hideous growths that appeared mostly on the noses, cheeks, and chins of witches, frogs and other low creatures. Both folklore and modern popular culture use physical traits to denote a character's either good or evil tendencies. In contrast to the fine features and smooth skin of its heroes and heroines, characters who possess negative or evil characteristics have also been known to possess more rugged features and skin blemishes, including facial moles.
